Peyronelle, a woman's name with somewhat malicious connotations which was very fashionable between the 13th and 17th centuries, is the pseudonym of Évelyne Moser, multi instrumentalist and singer. After gaining a diploma in concert performance on modern violin, she turned to early music which she studied at Schola Cantorum in Basel and at the Abbey of Royaumont in France.
She has also recorded for various record labels and continues to give many and varied solo concerts. The music she plays ranges from medieval to contemporary and she works with many different types of partner including actors, jugglers and storytellers to produce shows as well as just concerts. Improvisation also figures strongly in her work.
