Laulan (aka Leah Stuttard) has been playing medieval harp professionally (give or take a couple of years off when she trained to be a teacher and gave private piano lessons) for 10 years. All her life she has been a singer.

Combining the two is a path she is enjoying now; writing her own songs, creating arrangements of medieval songs she loves and accompanying folk songs from all over Europe on her celtic harp and button accordion (the latter much to the chagrin of her boyfriend).

She studied medieval music at the University of Manchester with David Fallows and at Schola Cantorum in Basel where she met her co-conspirator. She has also taken part in courses at Dartington International Summer School and the Abbey of Royaumont in France.
